It’s time to bring good cybersecurity practices
into our daily lives and where we live.
I created this blog in 2020, during globally difficult and sometimes desperate times. Criminals want our personal information because of its worth on the Dark Web. The sheer amount of data breaches has skyrocketed.
I realized that as our lifestyles become busier and more complicated we may tend to lose focus on some of the most important things in our lives. In today’s landscape, just about everything ends up on the Internet at one time or another.
Our Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is no exception. We all have lots of personal and confidential information that is stored on servers, transmitted over the Internet, and kept in our personal files. Somehow, we must keep this information private and secure.
What is Privacy?
Privacy is the act of protecting Personally Identifiable and other sensitive information.
What is Security?
Security is the technologies and methods that protect against unauthorized access to data
To a certain extent we can not control the safety of our personal information that is store on servers globally. But there are things we can do to safeguard our information in our everyday personal lifestyles. We can take precautions and exercise good practices on a daily basis, make our actions a habit, a way of operating.
Hopefully, the articles I write in this blog will be useful for the average consumer and can enhance privacy and security in your everyday lives. It is up to each and every individual to take deliberate precautions when going about their everyday typical routine. The bad guys are always looking for an easy way to obtain and profit from our personal and confidential information.
I have been studying in the cybersecurity arena since 2008. I hold a Masters of Science degree in Cybersecurity with an emphasis on offensive engagement and network defense. I hold several industry cybersecurity certifications.
My peers consider me an authority in multiple fields. I have written dozens of research papers on topics like blockchain technologies, cybersecurity, and Crytograghy. I have done extensive research and development in 5G and wireless technologies.
This blog gives me the opportunity to share my passion among the readers in the cybersecurity community, in a manner that exhibits “an out of the box thinking process”. The problems are complicated, and the solutions are not always obvious.
My articles are intended to be informative, and at the same time interesting, and to provide solutions that can be used to protect you and your family from the threat of malicious actors and cybercriminals.
